Overview

Sîdê-lëyikè Dêtîkè was founded durring the early 12th century in fall of the year 1130, by Orodwen Èdsm. The establishment of Sîdê-lëyikè Dêtîkè was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Sîdê-lëyikè Dêtîkè's construction back out of the project. Orodwen Èdsm pushed on reguardles, and Sîdê-lëyikè Dêtîkè was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Sîdê-lëyikè Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Sîdê-lëyikè Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Sîdê-lëyikè Dêtîkè is is constructed arround a series of broad cobblestone mainstreets which form overlapping circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town resides behind a palisade wall complete with battlments, a moat, and timber gatehouses with drawbridges. Sîdê-lëyikè Dêtîkè's robustly designed timber walls are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

Sîdê-lëyikè Dêtîkè has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Sîdê-lëyikè Dêtîkè ’s existence has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. On top of this is an unmistakable feeling that Sîdê-lëyikè Dêtîkè is in this condition because there is something terribly wrong with the town. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scuttling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s all of those things together, or perhaps it's the way these elements combine which makes you worry someone might stab you in a dark ally for your boots. It’s not filthy, or dark, but the smiles seem strained, the locals seem to glare daggers in eachothers backs a little too much, and everyone is armed at all times. You may want to keep an eye on your valuables, and make sure you don’t wind up in any position of power. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Sîdê-lëyikè Dêtîkè long.

The style used is characterized by vertical proportions, pointed arches, external buttressing, and asymmetry in the general shape of its buildings. Points of Interest

A great magical Working has been a critical part of Sîdê-lëyikè Dêtîkè since its creation, but now it's beginning to decay. It may function only intermittently, now, or its effects may have curdled into something double-edged. The locals have no idea how to fix it, and indeed, it may not be possible to repair it with modern science or sorcery.

The roads leading into Sîdê-lëyikè Dêtîkè possess a great number of switchbacks. While designed for defense, they mostly wind up pissing everyone trying to take goods to town right the hell off.

The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Sîdê-lëyikè Dêtîkè lost 113 people, 143 livestock, and 34 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 49, when members of Sîdê-lëyikè Dêtîkè's militia enacted an operation to defend a particular depot from enemy attack. The operation was complicated by extremely hostile wildlife which took many out of action. The conflict ended with a last stand against the enemy until a particular event occurred, which ended in a crushing defeat for Sîdê-lëyikè Dêtîkè's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Sîdê-lëyikè Dêtîkè's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
